Perched on the Continental Divide above Pagosa Springs, Wolf Creek is famous for claiming the most natural snowfall in Colorado, over 550 inches most winters, without a single snowmaking gun on the mountain. Eleven lifts spread skiers across 133 trails and a 1,604-foot vertical drop, with everything from mellow greens to steep tree skiing and in-bounds chutes. It's stayed independent of the big multi-resort passes, which keeps the crowds thinner than you'd expect for snow this good. Camping is available for anyone willing to chase a powder day at altitude.
