Taos Ski Valley rises in the Sangre de Cristo range of northern New Mexico, an Ikon and Mountain Collective destination famous for steep, expert-heavy terrain and a deep ski-school tradition. Lift-served vertical runs 2,612 feet across 110 trails and 12 lifts, with hike-to access off Kachina Peak adding several hundred more feet for those willing to bootpack. There's no terrain park scene or night skiing here — the draw is dry Rockies powder and old-school steeps.
