About Cupid Valley
Cupid Valley sits on the north side of Mt. Hishigadake in Yasuzuka Ward, Joetsu City, Niigata - a north-facing plateau resort that opened in 1990 and added a second lift for the 2025-26 season. Its longest run stretches roughly 4,000 meters from the summit station, and skiers can soak afterward at the on-site Yukidaruma Onsen hot spring. It's on the Indy Pass roster, a nice detour for pass holders exploring Niigata beyond the bigger-name resorts. Family-friendly and unglamorous in the best way.
