About Trapp Family Lodge
Founded by the von Trapp family of Sound of Music fame, this Stowe institution claims the country's first cross-country ski center and still grooms 24 trails across 800 feet of elevation change on 2,500 acres. It offers uphill access for skiers willing to skin up rather than glide, and it's an Indy Pass partner in Vermont's Nordic scene. The Austrian-inspired lodge and restaurant round out a stay that's as much about the setting as the skiing.
