About Ski Land
Ski Land, also known as Mt. Aurora Skiland, sits on Cleary Summit 20 miles north of Fairbanks and bills itself as North America's northernmost chairlift-served ski area. A double chairlift and a magic carpet serve 46 trails over 530 acres and a 1,027-foot vertical, Fairbanks's biggest by far. Its northern latitude and elevated position make it a prime aurora-viewing spot on clear winter nights, with two day lodges taking in the view from Cleary Summit. Uphill travel is allowed on the designated Blueberry trail before the lift starts spinning. Ski Land joined the Indy Pass for the 2026-27 season.
