About Skeetawk
Skeetawk is a nonprofit community ski area in Hatcher Pass in the Talkeetna Mountains, about 90 minutes north of Anchorage and 25 minutes from downtown Palmer. Opened in 2020 after four decades of local advocacy, it runs one triple chair and a surface lift over roughly 30 lift-served acres, with 13 groomed runs, a terrain park, and lighted night skiing several evenings a week. A long-range plan calls for a mile-long gondola opening 500 more acres and roughly 2,000 more feet of vertical, though that lift is not yet built. Skeetawk joined the Indy Pass for the 2026-27 season.
