About Arctic Valley
Anchorage's community-run ski area, Arctic Valley sits in the Chugach Mountains just outside town — close enough for an after-work lap. It's a no-frills operation with 15 trails, 4 lifts, and a 1,400-foot vertical, plus a terrain park for the park-and-pipe crowd. It's on the Indy Pass, and its volunteer-driven, low-cost model has made it a local institution for Anchorage skiers and riders.
