About Lookout Pass
Straddling the Idaho-Montana line right off I-90, Lookout Pass is Idaho's oldest ski area and one of the snowiest spots in the Northwest, averaging around 450 inches a year. Five lifts, including a couple of quads, serve 52 named runs and 1,650 vertical feet of glade-heavy terrain across more than 1,000 acres. It's independent of the major multi-resort passes, but doubles as the winter gateway to the Route of the Hiawatha trail come summer. Camping is available, and the drive between Spokane and Missoula makes it an easy stop for road-tripping skiers.
