Elm Creek Winter Recreation Area sits inside Elm Creek Park Reserve in the northwest Twin Cities suburbs, run by Three Rivers Park District. The beginner-focused alpine hill offers a modest 60-foot vertical across 6 runs served by 3 lifts, with a terrain park and lighted night sessions for young riders learning to carve. What sets it apart is the Nordic side: 18.3 kilometers of groomed cross-country trails, including 5.8 km lit for night skiing, one of the busiest metro-area Nordic hubs. A lighted tubing hill rounds out the offerings. Elm Creek Winter Recreation Area joined the Indy Pass for the 2026-27 season.
