About Afton Alps
Afton Alps sits in Hastings, Minnesota, just southeast of the Twin Cities, and has skied on the Epic Pass since Vail Resorts bought it in 2013 - one of the company's earliest Midwest moves, years before the larger Peak Resorts deal. It's built for volume: lots of runs spread across a modest hill, aimed at getting Minneapolis-St. Paul families onto snow on a weeknight rather than chasing big vertical.
