Just southwest of Madison, Tyrol Basin is a family-run hill with 24 trails, 7 lifts, and a 300-foot vertical that's plenty for a weeknight session after work. It's an Indy Pass stop, with most of the hill lit for night skiing and a terrain park lineup that draws Wisconsin's rail-and-jump crowd. There's no pretense of big-mountain scale here — just consistent grooming and a short drive from the city.
