Sun Mountain Lodge, above Winthrop in the Methow Valley, anchors one of the largest groomed cross-country networks in North America — more than 200 kilometers of track winding through sagebrush hills and pine forest. It's a lodge-and-trail combo rather than a lift-served mountain, and it's part of the Indy Pass for Nordic skiers. The Methow Valley's dry, consistent snow makes it a magnet for skate skiers and tourers alike.
