Marble Mountain rises above Steady Brook on Newfoundland's west coast, about seven kilometers from Corner Brook, with the highest vertical drop in Atlantic Canada at 1,759 feet. The Lightning Express, the region's only high-speed detachable quad, headlines four lifts serving 39 trails and two terrain parks. Provincially operated since 1988, it hosted alpine events at the 1999 Canada Winter Games and reliably picks up heavy snow off the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It's an Indy Pass partner, a rare full-service mountain in a province better known for its coastline than its skiing.
