About Cape Smokey
Cape Smokey, on the Cabot Trail in Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia, reopened in 2021 under new ownership after years of closure, and now runs Atlantic Canada's only four-season summit gondola alongside a poma lift. It's a small operation — 16 trails and 1,000 feet of vertical — but the Cape Breton coastal views from the top are the real draw. It's on the Indy Pass, a rare eastern Canada stop for skiers chasing ocean-view runs.
