About Mad River Mountain
Mad River Mountain, in Zanesfield, is Ohio's largest ski area and has been on the Epic Pass since Vail Resorts acquired it in 2019. It's a night-skiing and terrain-park kind of hill rather than a long-vertical one, built for the Columbus and Dayton crowd to get midweek laps in without driving out of state. Snowmaking keeps it reliably open through an Ohio winter that doesn't always cooperate.
