About Wisp
Overlooking Deep Creek Lake in McHenry, Wisp is Maryland's only downhill ski resort, and it makes the most of a modest 700 feet of vertical with 34 trails and 12 lifts. Night skiing covers roughly 90 percent of the terrain Tuesday through Saturday, stretching the ski day well past dark. Off-mountain, there's a coaster, tubing, and an ice rink, so it doubles as a weekend base as much as a ski hill. Wisp is on the Indy Pass, a solid Mid-Atlantic stop for pass holders.
