About Shiga Kogen Mountain Resort

Shiga Kogen, high in Japan's Nagano Prefecture, links 18 separate ski areas under one lift ticket — the IC key ticket — across a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, making it Japan's largest and highest ski destination. Forty-five lifts and gondolas reach roughly 3,205 feet of combined vertical, with a season stretching from late November into late May. It joined the Ikon Pass for the 2025-26 season, giving international skiers new access to one of Japan's most storied ski regions.
