About Pleasant Mountain
Pleasant Mountain in Bridgton, Maine, is the state's oldest major ski area, opened in 1938 on the shore of Moose Pond. Known as Shawnee Peak from 1988 until Boyne Resorts restored its original name in 2022, it climbs 1,300 vertical feet across 245 acres and 44 trails and glades, served by six lifts. The mountain is famous for offering some of the most extensive night skiing in New England, with lit terrain most evenings through the season. Three terrain parks round out the offering, and it joins Sunday River, Sugarloaf, and Loon in Boyne's New England family of resorts.
