About Oak Mountain
Oak Mountain is a family-owned ski area in Speculator, in the southern Adirondacks of New York, running since 1948. It drops 650 vertical feet from a 2,400-foot summit across 22 trails that mix beginner runs, glades, and a terrain park, served by a quad chairlift, a T-bar, and two surface lifts. A four-lane tubing hill sits beside the slopes, and the base lodge houses the Acorn Pub and Eatery. In summer and fall the mountain opens a nine-trail bike park and lift-served hiking, making it a low-key, three-season alternative to nearby Gore and Whiteface.
