About Mt Hutt Ski Area
Mt Hutt, in Canterbury on New Zealand's South Island, is grouped with Coronet Peak and The Remarkables under NZSki's Ikon Pass access. Its high base elevation gives it a reputation for a longer, more reliable season than many Southern Hemisphere fields, with wide-open bowl skiing above the treeline. It's a common stop for ski clubs and racers out of Christchurch. Unlike its NZSki sister resorts, Mt Hutt sits outside the Mountain Collective roster, so Ikon is the pass to bring here.
