Loon Mountain, in Lincoln, New Hampshire, is an Ikon Pass destination in the heart of the White Mountains. It's a straightforward day-trip hill off I-93, popular with families and Boston-area skiers for groomed cruisers and easy highway access. Loon doesn't offer uphill travel or on-site camping, keeping the operation focused on lift-served skiing. Its perch inside the White Mountain National Forest gives it some of the more scenic base-area views in the region.
