Mount Snow anchors southern Vermont's ski scene in West Dover, close enough to Boston and New York to fill up fast on weekends. It's a full Epic resort with a 1,700-foot vertical drop, welcomes uphill travelers on a posted policy, and is home to Carinthia Parks - ten terrain parks that have turned out more Olympians and X Games competitors than any other U.S. mountain. It's been running since 1954.
