About Eaglecrest Ski Area
Eaglecrest is Juneau's community-owned ski area, a fifteen-minute drive from downtown on Douglas Island. It's compact — 36 runs and 4 lifts over a 1,620-foot vertical — but big mountain terrain and real backcountry access make it feel larger than the numbers suggest, and there's a terrain park for the freestyle crowd. It holds both Indy Pass and Powder Alliance affiliation. Community ownership keeps prices reasonable and the vibe local, in a town where skiing competes with rain, boats, and mountains for attention.
