Big Bear Mountain Resort runs three connected areas — Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, and Snow Valley — in the San Bernardino Mountains east of Los Angeles, all under one Ikon Pass ticket. Bear Peak tops out at 8,805 feet with roughly 1,665 feet of vertical, and the resort has real terrain-park pedigree: it built North America's first park (Outlaw, 1992) and hosted the inaugural Winter X Games in 1997. It's the closest real mountain skiing to Southern California.
